International Recognition for Maspo Enerji’s Renewable Energy Production!

Maspo Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., one of Gürmen Group companies, crowned its renewable energy investments with the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC), creating significant value in its field. By receiving the International Renewable Energy Certificate—known as I-REC—which is granted exclusively to renewable energy power plants worldwide, Maspo Enerji internationally verified that it produces renewable energy at its geothermal power plant located in Alaşehir, Manisa.

Stating that they take pride in internationally documenting that the company produces entirely renewable energy and has begun trading renewable energy certificates through the I-REC certification, Gürmen Group Board Member and Maspo Enerji General Manager Murat Solmaz said: “The I-REC certificate was an important step in terms of the sustainability of our investments in renewable energy. With this certificate, we aim to contribute to consumers’ carbon emission reduction and sustainability goals.”

“Our installed capacity in renewable energy has reached 40 MW”

Reminding that Maspo Enerji is the first and only company from Türkiye to be accepted into the RE100 platform, which brings together companies worldwide that generate all the energy they consume from renewable sources, Solmaz stated: “With our geothermal power plant investments in Alaşehir, Manisa, we have reached an installed renewable energy capacity of 40 MW. As Maspo Enerji, we continue to focus all our efforts on growth in the field of renewable energy in line with our sustainability vision.”
